STEPHEN MINISTERS are members of our congregation who listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support to people who are facing a crisis or going through tough times. The care you'll receive is Christ-centered and confidential. A Stephen Minister provides support for as long as it is needed.

They are there after the phone call you hoped you'd never get... after the divorce papers are served and the bottom falls out of your life... after the funeral when everyone has left and the emotions you've held at bay come crashing in on you... after the doctor says, "I'm sorry, there's nothing more we can do"... after the nursing home director takes your hand and says, "Welcome to your new home"... after the last child drives away & the house suddenly seems empty... after the gavel goes down, the handcuffs go on and your loved one is led away.

Stephen Ministers are the "after people". They are ready to come alongside you, confidentially, to provide comfort and support for

as long as needed.

A Stephen Ministry training class is currently being planned. If you are a member of MPC and feel led to become a Stephen Minister, now's the time! Please speak to Reg or Sheila Minor or Robin Doroski.
